Since the beginning of the internet, everyone seems to have that one site that you can’t get enough of. It could be a blog, a recipe website, or a favorite store’s site. It could be Etsy or Ebay, social media like Twitter, Instagram or Facebook…we all have at least one.
Mine is Pinterest. It starts small at first, pinning an idea here, a photo there…but then one day you’re just kind of looking at ideas about low carb chicken recipes - for instance - and it turns into an all-out binge-pinning session. Days later you wonder where the hell all those recipes came from. Then you have pins that you can't remember pinning or you thought sounded good at the time...Cuban mojo sauce? What?
For those not familiar with Pinterest, it is a virtual bulletin board. You can make tons of individual boards and name them whatever you want: “Books I’ve Read”, “House Ideas”, Gardens”, "Things I"ll Pin but Never Make", etc. But then you go on a three day Pinning bender and end up with 4 different boards JUST for exercises or quotes or whatever strikes you at the moment. It happens, I know.
I have two Pinterest accounts, an author one and a personal one. The author Pinterest account has writing tips as well as alllll of the things in my book – the way I saw them as I wrote. I cannot tell you how much fun that was!
I also have a personal Pinterest account that has everything from vegan recipes (I was vegetarian & vegan for a few years) to art to quotes and Steampunk stuff.
Feel free to check me out on either account and “Follow” me (sounds a bit stalker-like, eh?) if you like.
Have a great Friday everyone, and happy Pinning!
SEE??? Pinterest is FUN - Look what I did below!! A librarian's/author's dream :)
