I have a few things for you all today.
A RECIPE for homemade honey butter, and two chapters of songs from the playlist as well as the playlist itself...up to Chapter Twelve. Just FYI, there are 16 chapters and an epilogue.
Now, I have made my own butter many times with my children and it is a lot of fun. This is how I make honey butter.
Homemade Honey Butter:
Ingredients
1 small container whipping cream -not heavy cream WHIPPING CREAM
Jar with screw on lid or plastic container with screw on lid-must be secure
Honey
Salt
Energy
Consider this a remedy for flabby arms, because this can be a workout. I originally did this with my children as a DIY fun "craft" to show them about how we could turn liquid into solid butter.
Instructions
Pour whipping cream into container and seal the lid. Make sure it won't fly off or you will have a mess, not butter.
Shake, shake, shake then when your arms are killing you, shake some more. My kids would get bored and I would end up doing it myself but it was still fun.
It will turn into whipped cream first, then eventually after more shaking you will hear a thump, that is the butter...keep shaking. It will get to be more butter than liquid don't worry.
Pour out the liquid - that is buttermilk. Use it for homemade bread dough - trust me it is amazing!
Dump the butter out into a container and try to get more liquid out. Add a pinch of salt (optional) and two tablespoons of honey. Add more to taste. Mix in well then use. Refrigerate leftovers.
