Yesterday I decided to see how many views my book trailer has had since the book has been published and lo and behold someone decided that they were going to offer my book for FREE.
WHAT??
I have no clue who this person is, and do not know if they are part of a legitimate library subscription service, but it looks pretty damn shady.
SO my publisher told me to send them a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) letter to take it down.
I posted the letter in the comments section of the YouTube link and sent them to her through YouTube messaging as well.
Nothing. No email, no contact. Also, the comment is gone.
So I will put it on again.
AND I will put it on here.
How is an author supposed to get royalties for their books if someone just gives them away?
How do I know how many books I have "sold" if someone just gives them away?
I am trying to sell 100 ebooks so it will go to print, this throws a big wrench in that plan.
I am waiting for my publisher to investigate further. I will let you now how it goes.
Thanks for listening to my rant!
